Now that you may have an understanding what a haunt or haunting actually persists of and means I feel I can comfortably go into some theories and ideals that may cause or may have the energy needed to help fuel a haunting.
This theory implies that when 3 particular stones are found in mass amounts in an area the energy that they release acts as a "paranormal battery" so to speak making a haunt more likely in these areas. The three stones are usually found close together either close to the surface, or deep in the recesses of the earth. When these stones are together it has been seen in many cases that the paranormal activity in the location is more consistant then what you would find in other cases, just like cases that are close to waterways (which we will get to later on).
The three stones that make up this "battery" for paranormal activity are as follows: Limestone, Natural Iron, and quartz. Quartz is an abundant stone that is found pretty much everywhere in the United States, it is one of the more common stones in this conductive trio. Natural Iron deposits are not as common however are found quite frequently in the North Eastern United States. Then there is the Limestone. This stone is common, but it has some oddly unique characteristics, and is the main component in this trio. Limestone (if you dare to taste or lick it) has a salty flavor and it is unique in the fact that is emits it's own Natural EMF field.
The theory is that when these three stones (which are all great electric conductors) are places together they can have the ability to harness emotional energies and pent up energy from the Limestones EMF bouncing around between all the stones making a battery that is the perfect paranormal conductor. In cases like that of the Stanley Hotel in Colorado Limestone was found in abundance underneath the hotel deep in the earth. Keep in mind this theory has not been scientifically proven, but could it really be a coincidence that when these stones are placed together that paranormal activity seems to occur on a more frequent basis?
You be the judge of that....
These are some of the theories that have been linked to hauntings and ultimatly some believe they may actually be the root cause of the haunt itself. Keep in mind these are theories but all have been discovered in one case or another. These may not be the case with all hauntings, but have been linked to several cases over the years.
*Severe anger or sadness that continuously leads to constant arguing in a home, causing an extremely negative energy. It is thought that the negative energy given off by the behavior can attract negative, demonic. or entites that are sad. All these entites can be a nerve racking experience, be beware the demonic and negative entities since they can be extremely dangerous. *Some say the spirit has unfinished business in the worldly realm and cannot pass over as intended and therefor stay in the place of death (or the most comfortable place in their life) until thier buisness can come to a close. *Tramitic deaths, suicide or murders can cause a haunting and this is most commonly the case. *The possability that the spirit at the time of death lingers because it simply does not understand that it is dead. *The spirit may be emotionally attatched to the place in question or even possibly some of the objects inside. *Renovation is a common occurence when it comes to hauntings becoming more unstable. The idea behind this the fact that the resident spirit likes the house the way it is and then people invade it's space and begin tearing down things and replacing things for updated equipment when the spirit likes the place just the way it has always been. The spirit doesn't want these changes to take place and their intention is to potentally to scare off the people they think are "destroying" thier home. *Demonic cults or any occult activity has been known to attract entites that are negative or harmful to anyone within a decent range of the spirit. *Using an ouija board does not always attract anything to residence. There have been recorded cases however that the usage of an ouija board has opened a doorway for the spirit to pass through and then it attatches itself to the home or people inside of it. Most commonly even though the spirit will interact in the nicest way on the board, it normally does not have the best intentions in mind once it is free to roam.
